• What is Crime Stoppers?
Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization of citizens against crime. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards of up to $1000 to anyone furnishing anonymous information that leads to the arrest of criminals, including those committing serious felony crimes, and fugitives.

Information is received through anonymous Crime Stoppers tips that are received through a secure tips line or through a secure web connection manned by a professional program coordinator.

• $5000 grant awarded to Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers
October 2008, Fred Zwiger of  Azko Nobel awarded the GBACS a $5000 donation to be used for community purposes. Some of the money was used to sponsor rec nights at the middle schools and the Beloit Memorial High School Key Club dance.

• Child ID
Crime Stoppers board member, Tom Niman fingerprints one of 300 youngsters at City of Beloit Winterfest event at Central Christian Church. Children of all ages were fingerprinted for their child identification kit.

The Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization run solely by an all volunteer citizen board.

The goal of Crime Stoppers is to combine the efforts of the police, citizens, and media in our community's fight against crime.

Crime Stoppers encourages people to call in anonymously and give police information on crime in exchange for a reward up to $1000. All money utilized by Crime Stoppers (e.g. rewards and miscellaneous expenses)are raised through fundraising projects coordinated by the Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers Board of Directors.
